  • Upholstery

    Upholstery

Our skilled upholsters have decades of experience and are trained in traditional 18th Century methods of upholstery.

These traditional and precise techniques are sympathetic to the pieces of furniture, and the fabrics used, be it a silk damask, cut velvet  or period needlework.

All work is done in complete harmony with the scale and the line of a piece. Our upholsters always focus on maintaining the original proportions and profile of a item.

Our upholsters know that the finest margins can be the difference between a good job, and the perfection they strive for. Precision is key.

Skilled upholstery is a precise Art form. Upholstery and the chosen colour, texture and pattern, should flow effortlessly with the line of a piece and accent its beauty in a subtle way, never overpowering the original form.

We have access to some of the finest designs from Fabric Houses all over Europe. We only deal with Fabric houses that are well established, and offer exceptional quality stock. Many of these companies have been in business for hundreds of years and have themselves become iconic across Europe.

Should you have a piece of Antique Furniture that you would like upholstered or recovered to an exceptional standard, please contact the gallery.
