Mirrors often form a focal point of a house, and elaborately conceived frames have enchanted since the first plates were made. Mirror plates were probably some of the most technically difficult pieces to have been produced, especially the larger sized plates. Due to their fragile nature it is incredible when one finds mirror that have survived with period glass, or in the even rarer cases there original plates.
