Provenance

Private Collection: London

A fine quality and elegant George III giltwood settee, the carved serpentine toprail and shaped arms, above fluted and tapering front and back legs. Covered in emerald green and gold silk damask.

In addition to being beautifully drawn, epitomised by the ’serpentine’ or 'line of beauty' top rail, and the elegant tapering legs. The settee is particularly well executed with crisp carving throughout.
The piece is in superb original  condition retaining all the original rails and cross stretchers.
